How to Recommend a Grant
- Sign in to your donor-advised fund sponsor's website or contact your adviser.
- Search for United Way of Northwest Illinois.
- Use our legal name and federal tax ID to confirm the correct organization.
- Recommend the amount and, when appropriate, an eligible local designation.
- Tell us the grant is coming so we can thank you and properly apply it.

Can I receive event tickets or other benefits?
Donor-advised fund grants generally cannot provide the donor, donor adviser or a related person with more than an incidental benefit. Contact your DAF sponsor before using a grant in connection with tickets, admission, memberships or other benefits.
