ALICE: When earnings do not cover the basics
ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. It describes households earning above the Federal Poverty Level but below the cost of basic living expenses where they live.
UWNI’s ALICE page includes information about financial hardship and its ALICE Mini-Grant application. The program considers one-time assistance for eligible working households facing an immediate essential need.

Assistance depends on eligibility and available funding. Approved payments go directly to verified vendors, rather than to individuals.
