Leadership Societies
The United Way of Northwest Illinois Inc. Leadership Societies recognize members of our community who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to helping others. The United Way is proud to acknowledge the collective strength of these community leaders whose influence in their own fields, and within the United Way, has made a crucial difference.

Members of the Pillars Club understand and respond to the needs of our communities. By their actions, they understand the true meaning of philanthropy—"care for humankind." Through their generosity and commitment, they improve lives and transform our community. Pillars club members invest between $1,000 and $9,999 in the United Way of Northwest Illinois Inc. annual campaign.

Levels of Giving are:

Pillar $1,000 to $2,499
Cornerstone Pillars $2,500 to $4,999
Leadership Pillars $5,000 to $9,999
Circle of Excellence $10,000 and above

Benefits of Pillars Club Membership
Setting an example for the rest of your organization or business
Demonstrating your business or organization's level of strong commitment to the United Way and the communities we live and work in.
Leveraging other leadership gifts to have tremendous, tangible impact on individual lives
Invitations to Pillars Club recognition events, such as the annual fall event
Recognition in the annual Pillars Club online directory
Opportunities for involvement with the United Way's allocations panel and other committees

As an Emerging Leader, you have the opportunity to:

GIVE - United Way encourages giving at all levels, but with a gift of $500 or more, you will be recognized with other emerging leaders.


VOLUNTEER - Learn about volunteer opportunities that spark your interest and show you firsthand how United Way supported programs are making the community better for us all.
